1. Pallet Headboard

An upholstered headboard can be expensive. Save money by transforming wooden pallets into a headboard to give your bedroom a more rustic look. Upcycling is trendy, sustainable and a great way to save some money.

2. Shutter Side Table

Give old shutters new life as a side table for your living room. All you’ll need is four shutters of equal length, art canvas stretchers to provide framing, screws to secure the shutters to the stretchers and a piece of glass for a table top.

3. Mason Jar Soap Dispensers

Repurpose the mason jars in your home and turn them into soap dispensers for the kitchen and bathroom.

How to make a mason jar soap dispenser:

  1. Cut a hole in the mason jar lid big enough to fit the soap pump.
  2. Trim the end of the pump until it sits just above the bottom of the jar. 
  3. Attach the pump to the lid with epoxy or water-resistant adhesive. 
  4. Fill the soap and start pumping!

4. Floating Shelves
